House of Yes is a theatrical nightclub and creative collective in Bushwick, Brooklyn that has become a beacon of NYC nightlife. We are renowned for producing themed dance parties, circus spectacles, and performance-fueled theater shows. In addition to our in-house programming, we offer our space for private events, fundraisers and community activities. Each night is specially curated to present a fusion of music, visual art, theatrics and interactive elements.

Job Overview 

The Music & Booking Manager is the dedicated leader of the Booking Department who can take the House of Yes brand to the next level for our dance parties, variety shows, community events and festival experiences. This role manages the public events programming calendar and events contracts while also supervising key staff such as the Ticketing Manager, Production Coordinator, and DJ Liaisons. The role fuses high-level project management skills with creative ideation and a passion for music. You should have a deep knowledge of Nightlife and DJ culture, both in a historical sense as well as in the current NYC scene. The Music & Booking Manager is a responsible, solution-oriented, natural born leader who can successfully work both independently as well as within team dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Music programming, talent buying, DJ curation

  • Event programming (theater, dance performance, community events)

  • High-level project management - tracking budgets, assets, contracts, documentation + more for all public events

  • Execute talent agreements and production agreements with external producers and co-branded partners

  • Liaise with Accounting Department to execute timely payments for all bookings and financial settlements, in accordance with department protocols

  • Manage venue calendars across Monday.com and Google Calendar - ensure all public event information is disseminated properly to all Department Leads

  • Work closely with Private Events team to ensure alignment and prevent calendar conflicts

  • Supervise the Ticketing Manager in the launching of public events

  • Ensure all ticketing pages list accurate details and copy

  • Manage all event changes and ensures updates are executed across all internal and external platforms, including Monday.com, website, ticketing platforms, etc

  • Oversee all Artist Advancing and schedule Artist Liaison shifts

  • Liaise with Marketing Team to ensure all programming is marketed and promoted effectively

  • Liaise with Production and Operations teams to ensure public events are produced effectively

  • Offers creative ideas and feedback to public events and event themes as needed

  • Maintain a deep network of nightlife creatives, producers, and emerging talent to bring exciting programming to the venue and ensure House of Yes remains a leader in nightlife and culture

Software & Tools 

This position requires the use of the following platforms: 

  • Project Management: Monday.com, G-Suite (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs)

  • Communication: Slack, Whatsapp

  • Ticketing Platforms: Shotgun, Dice, Resident Advisor, Eventbrite

Requirements 

  • 21+ and must be legally able to work in the USA

  • 5+ years experience in the Nightlife and Event Production Industry

  • Prior experience working in Talent Buying or Programming for high-volume venues

  • Existing relationships with relevant agencies, artists, event producers

  • Experienced in booking events and artists for events/venues with 150 to 750+ capacity

  • Strong attention to detail and an obsessively organized work style

  • Well versed in tools such as Canva, Google Workspace, Monday.com, Slack, ticketing platforms

  • Working knowledge of ChatGPT, Clause, Gemini and/or other AI platforms to streamline tasks

  • Familiarity with the House of Yes brand, sound, and programming

  • Deep understanding of current music trends

  • Dedicated to booking diverse line-ups (BIPOC/Queer/Femme representation)

  • Basic understanding of DJ gear and sound engineering

  • Experience in preparing offers, contractual agreements, understanding legal terms and liability

  • Analytical and creative thinking

  • Strong attention to detail and highly accurate

  • Academic degree in a related field (business, music-related, etc) a plus but not required

Hours and Expectations 

  • Position type: Full time W2 full time

  • Pay rate: $75,000-$85,000 yearly salary plus benefits

  • Work location: Primarily onsite, with remote WFH time possible on selects days (negotiable)

  • Meeting participation: In-person attendance required for meetings on Tuesdays & Thursdays

  • Night time and weekend availability required, particularly during peak seasons such as Pride, Halloween, and NYE

Reporting Structure 

Reports to House of Yes Owners and General Manager.

Work Environment 

Fast-paced nightlife venue with high volume of events. Requires coordination across multiple departments including Production, Marketing, Accounting, and Artist Liaisons.
