Hello everyone! This week we bring you a wide spectrum of entertainment, which is why we expect to see you all here 3 nights in a row! Mayor Bloomberg is also throwing a party this weekend, but his won’t be as good, so you better stick with us.
THURSDAY, JUNE 25
No Parking on the Dancefloor
DJ Dept: Soulcracker and Inbetween, $mall Change
A party about dancing. Starts/ends early for the sleepin’ set that
still likes to boogie.
That’s right party peoples, no parking baby, no parking on the
dancefloor. That’s what this shit is all about and fuck the hokey
pokey. On some pure shit. The central focus is music and dancing. If
you’re on the dance floor you must be dancing. We will have dance
police and your ass will get ticketed. Get down or make room.
We’re not trying to ram drinks down your throat, or
really at all. We will have a smoothie expert from the Wonderland,
Love Girl, who will assist you in making some wholesome drinks.
Whatever unwholesomeness you want to add to that is on your accord.
BYOF(ruit) etc is recommended, if you have some to spare for others
that’s always nice.

A performance series featuring artists who explore new forms and
fusions from ancient and contemporary sources. We revel in the
creative alchemy of collaboration and exchange, drawing from widely
diverse experiences and inspirations to create a new vision, a new
version, a new HYBRID of performance.
For this incarnation of the series, we bring you:
…Mira Betz,(Oakland, CA) whose unique performance style combines
exquisite technical skill with a profound emotional depth and engagement.
…The new Brooklyn duo Beatbox Guitar, who create an innovative mix
of flamenco, world, psychedelic rock, hip hop and punk. With guest
Ken Hashimoto on cello.
…The theatrical and adventurous style of Fire in the Belly, a fusion belly
dance company visiting us from Charlottesville, VA.
…The accordion stylings of Nicki Pfoutz and some beautiful songs from
the trio Nickirinata.
…Djordje Stijepovic, the San Francisco based Serbian master of the slap bass.
