Raising Capital
An evening of Provocative Theatrical Dance, Cabaret, Comedy, Magic & Circus Arts!
The Love Show has some big projects on the horizon, including an interactive installation in the theater district for a week in July, and we’re all very excited. However, the gals in accounting keep warning us that these projects are going to cost us more than they’ll bring in. We refuse to let those bean counters dissuade us from creating the type of dynamic, beguiling art and entertainment that The Love Show has become known for. As such, we’re raising funds the only way we know how – by throwing a party and show!
A joint venture of the following artists:
Angela Harriell’s Love Show Dancers!
The Vocal Force of Nature that is Shannon ‘Shantastic’ Turner!

Live music by Tayisha Busay, Chappo, Bad Briliance, Planet Rump
The L Magazine’s Northside Festival has made a brave and very smart move by welcoming the House of Yes and Tayisha Busay as they present a night of the brightest, baddest, chrome-covered, high-bouncing music and righteous showmanship that you can only find in the bottom of a Lucky Charms box, OR at this show. Bands that have fun? Is this really Williamsburg? The night will prove itself to be the most unique and powerful show in the festival. Line-up includes;
Tayisha Busay – a glitter-chugging, electro-dance trio of choreographed, detention room C+ students that make ridiculous DIY pop – a mind expanding take on the girl group. myspace.com/tayishabusay
Chappo is an electro-pop band from a parallel universe. They’re “spacey-ear-candy”. It’s “Eno vs Flaming Lips kind of flavor” -37 Flood – chappomusic.com
Bad Brilliance has a very large and very strange yellow ball head and his music will blow your mind. myspace.com/badbrilliance
Planet Rump (live DJ dance floor set) – an interplanetary booty-blastin electro-funk trio that crash landed here on Earth to give birth to your wildest fantasies. myspace.com/planetrump
And as always… Random Aerial Performances by the Skybox Fly Girls!

You might not know it yet, but the music scene in Italy is exploding in all directions, crossing national borders and oceans to reach your ears with contagious sounds you won’t believe you’ve been missing. Until now.
To celebrate this historic moment of musical innovation, frēstyl has selected a handful of crazy talented Italian musicians to play for you in Brooklyn. “Italians Do It Līve” (organized in collaboration with GigMaven) will give you a taste of the emerging music scene in Italy and leave you craving for more. You’ll start off with the soft, folk sounds of LE-LI (www.myspace.com/theworldofleli), then bravely enter the electro-rock beats of Serpenti (www.myspace.com/serpentispace), and, finally, you’ll be taken away by the electro-rap energy of Posi (www.myspace.com/poskee). “Italians Do It Live” is happy to be joined by strong local talent Tens of Thousands (www.myspace.com/tensofthousands) at 7pm and Acid Westerns (www.myspace.com/acidwesterns) at 8pm.
From the Eternal City to the City that Never Sleeps, this eclectic music experience will set the record straight. This ain’t your grandma’s Italy.
