If you missed it at Dance Parade, too bad for you. This is the best thing ever and just in time for summer fun!
Horror Show
The Horror Show is circus meets ballet meets nightmare. Written and directed by Anya Sapozhnikova, the show is built out of darkness, sex and hot jazz. Taking place in New Orleans (specifically at 1140 Royal St, 615 Toulouse St, and 635 City Park Ave), set to the whiskey soaked music of the Stumblebum Brass Band, the show follows a love triangle from inception to demise.
Unlike previous Lady Circus productions, the dance numbers, choreographed by Brett Lord, are just as death defying as the acrobatics in the air. Consistent with the House of Yes reputation, the show is packed with theatrical feats, bourbon will flow cheaply, and the lines between stage and reality are blurred.
Joining longtime Lady Circus members Lori Barber, Jordann Baker and Anya Sapozhnikova, dancers Kathryn van Assche, Megan Hornaday, Nikki Nasto and Brett Lord (known to some as Carrie Ca$h) complete the cast. Live music by Stumblebum Brass Band.
The show will run Friday, May 14th; Saturday, May 15th, Thursday May 20th, Friday May 21st, and Saturday, May 22nd.
Doors open at 8:00pm and the show will start at 9:00.
Tickets are $20 presale, with a limited number of $30 front row seats and go on sale Monday, May 3rd.

Dark Side of Oz, Dance Parade, Free Coconut Water
Hello Everyone!
We don’t have any events this weekend. It’s just too hot outside. Or maybe most of us are on vacation in Coney Island, hanging out in the basement of Cha-cha’s on the boardwalk with no internet and no cellphone reception. We’ll be back stronger then ever next week with The Horror Show. (www.sapozhnikova.com/horror)
:::::::TONIGHT!::::::::::
We do have a mountain of free ice cold coconut water (mango), and an impromptu screening of Dark Side of Oz tonight at 10:30. Come over. $ donation.
::::::::NOW!:::::::::::::::
We have registered for Dance Parade. You should march with us. We even got our very own outdoor aerial rig for the occasion. Because Sexy Dancing and Spazz Hands wasn’t on the menu, we registered house of yes under “clown dance”. That felt pretty all inclusive. So go to http://www.danceparade.org/EE/index.php/join/join_parade/ Find Clown Dance: House of Yes on the drop down menu under group and sign up. it’s free. it’ll be epically fun, more info regarding getting coordinated and making matching outfits together to follow.
don’t forget to drink water.
